Hey there, Ben Sutz here!
Im a lifelong athlete, Jiu Jitsu fanatic and outdoor enthusiast. I specialize in coaching Hardstyle Kettlebell training, powerlifting, general strength and mobility, as well as sustainably planned weight loss. Come take a class with me, or if your looking for personalized coaching contact me about scheduling some sessions!
My name is Amanda Truelove. I first got into kettlebells in 2019 after having my daughter and experiencing pain with self led gym workouts. I fell in love with the simple yet effective modality instantly. I liked it enough to be consistent which is why I was successful. In 2023 I received my strong first SFG 1 certification and have been teaching ever since. I am obsessed with all things strength both physical and mental; “for if there is no struggle, there is no strength.” In my spare time I train Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and like to make memories with my two kids Clash and Remington. I’ve gone on to train Barbell and look forward to advancing my knowledge and credentials with Strong First and Kettle bell training.

Teal is a StrongFirst instructor with both kettlebell certifications and Barbell. Teal has not always maintained a healthy lifestyle. In high school she was well-rounded in athletics and played volleyball, basketball, golf, and racquetball until doctors discovered a rare abnormality in both her ankles. Twelve surgeries later and in her early twenties, she had gained 80lbs and was told by doctors to only exercise in the pool…until she was introduced to kettlebells. She learned the endurance and strength training that came with just a simple kettlebell swing, and movements that would actually end up relieving some of her chronic pain and helping her lose much of her excess weight. Teal uses low impact ideology with her students. She believes strength training can be used to help chronic pain as well as to aid and prevent injuries. Most importantly, Teal is mother to a daughter and twin baby boys, and is a Portland, Oregon native.

Paris grew up in Portland and once lived in a house one block away from our location here at Hardstyle. In his teens he learned the benefits of hard work and consistency as a state champion Junior Olympic Boxer. After High School, he spent 7 years in the Army as a Combat Medic before returning to Portland. Post military Paris worked at an Endocrinology Center. He saw first hand what living a sedentary unhealthy lifestyle could do to your body and decided to focus on the preventative side.
Since 2008 Paris has been helping people get strong and stay strong long into their lives. He believes that working your body throughout its range of motion with heavy but manageable weight will keep your body capable of supporting the life you want to live long into your years.
“After getting certified through Strongfirst I learned the true benefits of hardstyle training, learning proper breathing mechanics and training barefoot changed my view on what strength training can do for your body. My wife and I started this buisness to educate people on the benefits of Hardstyle strength training and how they can use Kettlebells and Barbells to improve all aspects of their lives. We are fortunate to have such competent educated instructors eager to spread this knowledge to anyone willing to learn.”
